How to balance Vata ?


Vata (air + space) is the energy of movement. It is considered as our vital life essence or life force, Prana. Vata regulates our nervous system, hence all physical and mental movement or activity in the body. The qualities of Vata are dry, light, cold, subtle, rough, mobile and irregular.

When out of balance, Vata can cause symptoms of indigestion (constipation, bloating, gas…), spasm, menstrual pain, dry skin, dry mucous membrane, joint pain, sleeping disorders, concentration problems, nervousness and anxieties.
